The international
airports Mariscal Sucre (8 kilometers from the historical center
of Quito) and Simon Bolivar (5 kilometers from the urban center
of Guayaquil), are the principal ways of access to the Republic
of Ecuador. Even though more frequent are the travelers that come
by land from Peru and Colombia, being the principal routes of
access, the location of Huaquilla/Macará and Tulcán/Rumichaca
respectively.
To visit Ecuador
the only requirement is to have a valid passport. Only the citizens
of China, North and South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam are obligated
to obtain a visa. Under the immigration laws tourists are allowed
90 days but you can get an extension of a month.
During the
previous days of your return to your country you must not forget
to reconfirm your flight. Its recommended to do it within 72 hours
of your departure to which you have to call your airline company
or travel agency.
It's necessary
to be at the airport 2 hours before your flight departures. Remember
that you have to pay an airport tax of 25 US dollars, payment
that you will make after getting your boarding pass.
