If you are willing to get to the Orient by plane, your access door will be the city of Lago Agrio. Incoming flights from Quito (the capital of the country) and Guayaquil (industrial and economic heart of Ecuador) land in the local airport from Monday to Saturday.

The second option is by road. Although it is very much longer and more exhausting, it will allow you see how the morphology and the landscape change. If we take as starting point the city of Quito, the trip to the orient can last more than eight hours.
