There is no luxury in the Ecuadorian Orient. In these hot and humid lands, the traveler won't be able to enjoy modern hotels.

If you decide to visit the forest do not forget that some annoyances will be present, but anyway, you will be overwhelmed by the beautiful landscape.

However, lodges exist along the Ecuadorian Orient and they allow an approach to the nature and to the native people of the forest. Some of them even offer minimal comfort conditions in very traditional cabins covered with straw.

The most advisable thing before visiting the Orient is to coordinate with a travel agency, to reserve the rooms in the camps, because many of them are located in places to which one can arrive only by canoe, for what is necessary to have a guide waiting for one with the oars ready and the motor lit to begin the adventure.
