Unless you want an umbrella to be your " best friend " in Guayaquil, you should visit the city between the months of Jun and December, season of little rains and quite pleasant temperature.

The situation will be totally different, in the case you arrive at the city between January and May, the season of rains. In spite of the heavy showers, the heat is exhausting and the humidity is high. If the rain and the heat do not intimidate you, you could arrive to the land of Guayas from the 23rd to the 25th of July (anniversary of the foundation of the city) or from the 9th to the 12th of October (commemoration of the independence of Guayaquil). Both celebrations include civic activities, concerts, dances and parades.
